Using maps, rather than standard data tables allows people to see the messages hidden in your data. Tables and graphs can effectivly show a comparison of one area against another but when they are mapped even those without a head for figures can easily see the underlying message. GIS is the ideal tool to make your data come to life.

More and more people are realising the power of GIS and especially 3D models to help the public understand their environment. It is now easy to set up a three dimensional tour of your area without expensive hardware / software solutions.

Do you need well drawn, traditional paper maps for reports or as wall charts and posters?....

There is much more to producing a good map than printing an area off a computer screen. Many people have been criticised for their mapping in reports for something as simple as their colour choices not even realising that colours are often standardised for particular data sets.

Symbology and layering of different information can also have a dramatic effect on whether the map communicates effectively with your audience.
